The area to the south of Siena is called Val d’Orcia that over the centuries has been shaped by wind, rain, man and herds of sheep, creating a unique landscape rich with a timeless atmosphere.
Overview
Navigating across this region you may encounter a spectacular display of colors as well as much surviving evidence of the Sienese heritage, including its castles and towers that reach towards the sky. This land is wild and yet suave, bearing such precious gifts as prized truffles and pecorino cheese, among many others. Here, Villa Ameto, a traditional villa consisting of a main villa built on two floors and an annex, is ideal for large groups and boasts stunning views of the dreamy vineyard landscape. The villa’s attentive staff embodies the concepts of hospitality by attending guests with great care. If Tuscany is calling, there is no excuse to wait any longer…
Several large social spaces are available at Villa Ameto for guests to enjoy, all furnished with traditional Tuscan pieces and decorated with typical local flair. The style creates a relaxed atmosphere and yet retains a sense of the villa’s past. A very generous indoor room is also accessible and is perfect for reunions, celebrations, yoga classes, and other social gatherings for up to 150 guests. There is also a commercial-grade fully equipped kitchen, ideal for the best amateur cook in your party, or for the creative villa chef that you may hire to prepare delicious and genuine Tuscan meals. Two guest bathrooms complete this floor.
The villa boasts beautiful views of the Tuscan hills and vineyards and a panoramic furnished sundeck next to an oversized swimming pool (20 m x 9 m x 1.50 m) with a Jacuzzi corner. The manicured gardens invite guests to enjoy time outside on the warm summer days and to dine al fresco under the romantic pergola. The villa is set on a wine producing estate, completely private and surrounded by a fence, ideal for those who want to enjoy the bucolic charm of Tuscany.

Moreover, its location is ideal for visiting Pienza, Montepulciano, Montalcino, Cortona as well as Siena, all reachable in 30 to 40 minutes by car. The closest village is only 5 kilometers away.

Due to limited transportation in outlying and rural areas, a rental car is essential for stays at countryside villas in Italy. We are more than happy to arrange a car for you during your stay, please just let us know at time of booking.
Please note that Italy villas rent from Saturday to Saturday. Exceptions may be possible on a case by case basis and upon request.
The Italian government has implemented a Visitor’s Tax of €1.50 - €5.00 per person, per day and applies to all overnight stays for the first seven days in the destination. This tax is payable to the local property manager.
Most villas in Italy require the cost of extra services be paid upon arrival in cash. Please check with your Villa Specialist or Concierge for details.
